Works started on this project on 29 April and progress in the first 4 weeks has been notable as the front and side elevations have been opened up in readiness for installation of the new curtain walling and feature cladding.
All the internal demolition has been completed and new steel beams are being installed to form a new insulated soffit between the existing roof and the proposed new suspended finished ceilings.
Along both elevations there is significant temporary propping whilst the new steelwork is being installed and as an added precaution the propping stations have been loaded with one tonne ballast bags given the high winds evident in this area over the past few weeks.
