Works have now started on Dick Lovett’s new Porsche dealership located just off junction 9 of the M5 at Tewkesbury.
We have been working on this project with NC Architects in the design development since February so it is good to finally get on to site.
Through the negotiated process, we have already appointed groundwork’s, steelwork, roofing and cladding, curtain walling as well as the mechanical and electrical contractors and all have assisted SOC and NC Architects through the design development.
The project is due to complete in June 2014.
Groundwork’s well under way and making good progress. Very wet weather this week and the site have softened up, but groundwork’s aren’t happy unless they are moaning about the wet conditions!!!
Steelwork has started to go up and they are making good solid progress…
Steel frame finished, 2 weeks ahead of schedule…
Progress on site has continued over the past two months, despite the very wet weather and that all around us in generally flooded, especially the poor town of Tewkesbury. Our site location, immediately off the M5 at junction 9, whilst wet, isn’t flooding.
Now in week 16, the roof is completed and the cladding is well on despite delays caused by the wet weather including very high winds which has frequently stopped the contractor working.
During January, the internal block work started and is now completed, the ground and first floor slabs have been poured and all the workshop cassettes have been installed including the MOT bay.
In early February, the mechanical and electrical first fix started and later this month, the curtain walling commenced followed by the metal stud partitions.
