A single-storey extension and refurbishment of the existing canteen at BHASVIC, Hove, creating a new open-plan refectory and social study space, delivered within a live college campus environment.
This project involved the single-storey extension and refurbishment of the existing canteen building at BHASVIC in Hove. The works included the expansion of the existing Link Building to create a bright, open-plan refectory and social study space, directly connected to the current canteen and study areas.
To enable the extension, demolition works were carried out to part of the existing façade, alongside minor internal refurbishments within the original canteen. The scheme also included associated hard and soft landscaping to enhance the surrounding upper courtyard.
All works were delivered within a live college campus environment, requiring careful coordination to minimise disruption to students and staff throughout the construction period.
