Still on target at JLR…

30/07/2017

We continue to maintain our programme targets and operations are ongoing internally and externally around the site.

Externally we have this past month, block paved the front and side elevations of the site as well as laid the base course tarmac to over 70% of the site.

The block paving has all been fenced off to avoid contractors parking on it.

Our current site car parking area is being relocated to the front of the site to enable the current area to be worked on by the groundwork area. Ply sheets will be laid by the site team to areas of finished block paving to prevent damage.

The tarmac has been laid around the perimeter of the showroom in readiness for the resin to be laid but importantly to allow the ACM panelling to start. The site team made an early decision pre-start to do tis after this stage of the groundworks to eliminate any damage to the ACM.

Internally, the various trades in the showroom have made good progress and we are the taping and jointing stage in readiness for the screed which starts early August.

The workshop has seen similar good progress with the workshop equipment contractor starting this month on their first fix operations.

This past 4 weeks we have started the fire stopping works carried out by a certified contractor where all elements of their works are labelled and marked on a drawing ready for the O&M files.
